When leaving your unit for 24 hours or longer, you acknowledge that you must shut off your main water valve and water heater. Before leaving, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the center stairwell of your building.
2. There will be a bank of numbered switches with locks. Open the lock. If you do not have a key, please use the key box next to the locks. The code is 1234.
3. Remove the lock and flip the switch.
4. Replace the lock and secure it.
5. Return to your unit and try running water in the sink.
6. Go into the first bedroom by the front door. Behind the door is your fuse box. Turn off your water heater breaker.

Upon returning, please follow these steps:

1. Go back to the center stairwell of your building and unlock your lock and flip back the switch.
2. Replace the lock and secure it.
3. Go back into your unit and try the water.
4. Open your fuse box and turn on the breaker for the hot water heater.
